Agggh, ok so things would be going swimmingly if I hadn't blown my power cord out. Thank God my computer is ok, but I'm afraid there's going to be a delay in posts until I haul myself out to the Apple Store on the other side of town and fork over 59 pounds to get a new one. Oh God just thinking about how much money that is is causing me pain.
Anyway, I had the help of a fellow American with a MacBook with figuring out what the problem is, who I met at 5 AM this morning when we were all thrown out into the cold by a fire alarm. Which then went off again at 6. But hey, I made two new friends, so it's all good!
A quick note about my social life so far: I'm making friends with a lot of Americans who are also here for their semesters so far. I'm really hoping to get a chance to hang out more with Sushi and Shaun, my British flatmate and her friend and meet more Brits as classes start and I join clubs and stuff.
Tonight I'm going on a boat tour of the Thames! I'll take pictures and will post them, just as soon as this computer situation is sorted out.
